The theory of ‘RELATIVITY’… in a more Relatable way!

What is the The Theory Of Relativity?

(This is what Wikipedia provided me)

The theory of relativity usually encompasses two interrelated theories by Albert Einstein: special relativity and general relativity. Special relativity applies to all physical phenomena in the absence of gravity. General relativity explains the law of gravitation and its relation to other forces of nature.

But since I am not that genius to figure out what that really means, here’s another from a different site.

The theory is deceptively simple. First, there is no “absolute” frame of reference. Every time you measure an object’s velocity, or its momentum, or how it experiences time, it’s always in relation to something else. Second, the speed of light is the same no matter who measures it or how fast the person measuring it is going. Third, nothing can go faster than light.

But why should we bother too much in learning in depth of this concept when our own Einstein could easily make it more “relatable”?

Here is what he said..

When you sit with a nice girl for two hours you think it’s only a minute, but when you sit on a hot stove for a minute you think it’s two hours. That’s relativity.

Ahhh! Now I know what relativity is.
This thing happens to all of us.

When we are in the middle of enjoying something, we never take notice of the time, which is why we feel like time is passing by so quickly!

And those experts who write long long articles stating that the night time is a bit longer in the southern hemisphere during the winters…. I dare challenge him to come convince me!

Haven’t you gone shopping in malls? Have you ever seen a window there? Inside the mall? Nope, right?!

Oh.. the first reason that comes to your mind will be “because it is under centralised Air conditioning!?”
Yeah, but why would it hinder the existence of just a glass pane? This is a business technique!

When you are in the mall, you might be busy shopping, and if in some way you see how quickly the time has passed, you might have the urge to leave. So.. no windows!
It is a natural tendency to forget time and enjoy the moment.

  1. A nice post! Certainly, it makes you read the whole of it!
The window logic was….🤐😈. The Einstein theory is still overhead.
And at the end, thanks for the barrage of likes at my blog.😅 If you get time, then do give them a read if you haven’t.😅💫✨
