True Quotes #2

Rumi…. Have you ever heard of him?

Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī, also known as Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Balkhī, Mevlânâ/Mawlānā (“our master”)and more popularly simply as Rumi (30 September 1207 – 17 December 1273), was a 13th-century Persian poet, faqih, Islamic scholar, theologian, and Sufi mystic originally from Greater Khorasan.

He was an amazing poet! Whose words are more than divine. Love was felt pure, when penned by him.

He is a very famous and popular poet, whose works are bestsellers even now. If you are a poet, or you aspire to be one, you must definitely know about this great person’s works. If you have, then I am quite sure that you must’ve loved him, adored him, possibly worshipped him!

Here are some verses written by him!

Why should I seek? I am the same as

He. His essence speaks through me.

I have been looking for myself!

In December 1273, Rumi fell ill; he predicted his own death and composed the well-known ghazal, which begins with the verse:

How doest thou know what sort of king I have within me as companion?

Do not cast thy glance upon my golden face, for I have iron legs.

In other verses in the Masnavi, Rumi describes in detail the universal message of love:

The lover’s cause is separate from all other causes

Love is the astrolabe of God’s mysteries.

Today I am going to share with you some of the amazing quotes written by him which is truly inspiring!

When you are blessed with more than you can imagine, learn to use them, before it’s too late. Utilise them, to explore the world around you. Use them, to fly beyond the boundaries you set for yourself. They say “magic” doesn’t exist. But friends, magic exists. And you are the magician. You have the talent to perform magic, with your skill, your brain, your heart. Let’s rock with that one!!😉😋😜

  1. I wish I had checked out your blog earlier Aathmana because wow this post blew me away…I can tell that you must’ve done a lot of research and your words are just soooo true to heart that I could feel your excitement through the screen as you shared your thoughts with us…and that little ending ment with your own interpretation of magic was just magical (hehe) I love how you called us a magician instead of the usual “magic exists and it’s inside of you.” Like you actually went further than that and told us how we weave the magic and how us writers and poets can let this magic out in the world through our own very magical words…and that quote about having wings was just woah…I’m gonna stick around forever here because I think I can’t turn away after reading this post…you seem like a wonderful person and I know you’re an angel after that mail of yours🥺🥺❤️❤️ Thanks for being who you are…
