Amidst the Fear brought into our minds by the corona virus, many of us have started started discovering every nook and corner of our house for the first time! Isn’t?
Well, for most of us, the days in the beginning may seem very lovely and we somehow find something to do.. like cleaning,rearranging, redecorating, cooking dishes that you have never cooked before (we feel like killing someone if that goes wrong!). And in the end of the day, you are damn tired that you probably decide to order some food or stay hungry for the night and cuddle up with a cushion,watching TV.
And the following days feel like an award winning movie…it just doesn’t get over. Time seems like slowing down. The worst thing is that no matter how much you wish for, you can NEVER GET OUT OF YOUR HOME FOR SOME FRESH AIR! Sounds horrible, right?
But hey… Chill! I have got some ideas.
All of us have different tastes, I mean, different likes, dislikes and hobbies. So I hope the below ones would please everyone equally!
1 . Grab a Classic!
Most of us have a great taste in books. Can’t deny it! But I am skeptical about the reading habits of the millennials. Most of us have turned out to be ‘digital‘ book lovers. I am not disliking the idea but a person, who truly admires reading, can never adjust to these ‘e-books’. That’s probably because they have actually fallen in love with the typical fragrance of the letters of each of the pages… A vintage touch!
So one of the best way to eradicate boredom is to arrange a corner by a window in your home and place some cushions and candles by the window side, grab a cup of coffee and read a CLASsiC! ( Check out my next article to know some of the best classics that can quickly grab you to another world!). You could also read again some of the books that you had read a lot of years before. Believe me, you would love it if it is a Sidney Sheldon’s story! ( Peekaboo : I loved Sheldon’s ‘Tell Me Your Dreams’ when I read it after over a year! )

2. The ‘digi’ millenium
And now for the e-book lovers, I know you already have a number of e-books from Kindle and many other apps. But I always prefer Google books. Perhaps because I loved the feature provided by the Google books! You will find a lot of books in Google books of different genres.
One interesting fact is that Google books have many free books. You can read many books of different genres for free. Some of them are beyond amazing, still you should read the review before purchasing them for free. Some of them can turn out to be not your type!
2. WRITE A BLOG!!!
There are a bunch of people who loves to write. They are quite interesting as they are those brilliant people who weaves out very interesting stories. This idea is amazing for them.
Blogging is to writing what extreme sports are to athletics: more free-form, more accident-prone, less formal, more alive. It is, in many ways, writing out loud.ANDREW SULLIVAN
You can write a blog as it is one of the easiest way of making yourself happy by expressing your wonderful ideas, opinion, and your creative work to the public. 3. Arranging a green space!
Indoor plants are very healthy for us. Did you know the fact that they are so powerful to make our lives better… But most of the millennials are very much aware of this.. In this era, houseplant obsession is growing much faster than the hike in the fuel price! We are aware that these plants offer so much more than tranquility, peaceful atmosphere and happiness. They also help us in many other ways such as
- Lower blood pressure
- Improve reaction times
- Increase attentiveness
- Raise productivity
- Improve well being
- Improve perceptions of space
- Lower levels of anxiety
So it is a good catch, isn’t it??
4. Enlighten your mind with MuSiC!!

Who doesn’t love some ‘alone-time’ with some amazing music played in the speakers. Well, I do. I spend most of my time, listening the tunes in my playlists (well there are many playlists ). That is one way of keeping my mind fit.
Make sure you have more than one playlist, containing tunes for your different moods. Believe me, it does help you a lot!!
Well, there are many other ideas. But if I lost them all, it would take nearly 2 days. Phew! After all, eradicating boredom these days are as simple as everything else is!
